About
I’m Brian Hochhalter. I hope you’re enjoying del caos.
I’m Director of User Experience at Roundbox Global, doing what I can to help schools use technology to meet their needs as they teach the growing generation.
Outside of work, I’m a gamer, film buff, tv aficionado, sci-fi fan, priest, lover of nature, and reader of comic books. I also enjoy people quite a bit, though I find it easy to fall into people watching and amateur sociology instead of actually interacting with people. Despite the tendency to observe, I’ve found that life’s richer with interaction than just observation.
To provide the obligatory client list, I’ve worked with clients including InterContinental Hotels Group, The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow, Prevention Research Centers, the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia Tech’s School of Public Policy, LucasArts, Mobium Creative Group, and Brigham Young University’s Center for Instructional Design.
Somewhere in there I received an MS in Information Design and Technology from Georgia Tech, where I had good fun researching games and interactive narrative with the Experimental Game Lab and online and educational community design with Amy Bruckman.
I’ve had great teachers, classmates, coworkers, and clients… and quality friends. I feel very fortunate.
